Claude Pro or Max, settled in Bitcoin with an official gift link
Anthropic bills Claude by card or app store. How a claude.ai gift link lets you pay in Bitcoin instead, which plan to pick, and what each term costs.
Claude is the one big AI assistant with a proper gift system, and that matters if you want to pay in Bitcoin. Anthropic's own checkout runs on cards through Stripe, plus Apple and Google billing in the mobile apps. None of those take sats. A gift, though, is a separate product: someone buys it, you get a link, and the plan lands on your account with no card attached to you.
That's how we sell Claude. You pay us in Bitcoin, we buy an official gift from Anthropic, and you redeem it on your own login. This guide explains which plan to choose, what it costs, how redemption works, and what happens to a plan you already have.
The plans, in one paragraph each
Pro costs $20 a month at Anthropic, or $200 a year paid up front. It's Claude on the web, desktop and phone, with projects, the larger models and Claude Code. For most people who write, research or code a few hours a day, Pro is enough.
Max 5x costs $100 a month and gives five times the Pro usage, priority at busy times and early access to new features. It's for people who keep hitting the Pro limit, usually in Claude Code.
Max 20x costs $200 a month and gives twenty times the Pro usage. It's for all-day agent work or several long coding sessions running in parallel.
Max is billed monthly only at Anthropic. Through us you can buy it for 1, 3, 6 or 12 months in one payment.
What it costs in Bitcoin
Our price is Anthropic's price, minus a discount for longer terms (15% for 3 months, 20% for 6, 30% for 12), plus our fee. For Pro's 12-month term we start from Anthropic's own yearly price of $200, not twelve times $20.

A year of Pro here works out below Anthropic's own annual rate of about $17 a month. There's no single month of Pro, because our smallest order is $50. Choose 3 months or longer.
A gift isn't tied to a country. Wherever Claude itself runs, the link works, so unlike ChatGPT or Gemini there's nothing to choose and one price for everyone.
How the gift reaches your account
- Pick the plan and term on the Claude page and go to checkout. Confirm that you don't currently pay for Claude through Apple or Google.
- Pay in Bitcoin. Send the exact BTC amount shown to the bc1 address on your payment page within 30 minutes. One confirmation is enough. The Bitcoin guide walks through each wallet.
- We buy the gift. A person buys it from Anthropic once your payment confirms, usually within a few hours. If the link isn't on your order page within 24 hours, you get every sat back.
- Open the link. The gift link appears on your private order page. Sign in to your own account at claude.ai, open the link or paste it at claude.ai/gift/redeem, and confirm. The plan starts right away.
You never send us your Claude password, and we never sign in to your account. Anthropic doesn't ask for a card to redeem a gift. How it works shows the full order timeline.

Anthropic's redemption rules depend on what you're paying for now:
- Free account: the gift upgrades you at once, for the length of the gift.
- Pro on the web, Pro gift: your Pro time is extended by the gift's length.
- Pro on the web, Max gift: you move up to Max for the gift's length. Unused days on your Pro bill become account credit, and Pro resumes when the gift ends.
- Max on the web, Pro gift: the gift's value becomes credit against future Max bills.
- Max on the web, same or higher Max gift: your Max time is extended or upgraded.
- Subscribed in the iPhone or Android app: you can't redeem until that subscription has ended. Turn off renewal with Apple or Google, let the paid period finish, then redeem. The link keeps while you wait, as long as you redeem it before the expiry date below.
Two more rules. You can't redeem two gifts at once or stack them. And a link left unused lapses a year after the gift was bought, so redeem it soon rather than late.
Why not a shared or "team seat" Claude account
You'll find Claude sold for crypto as a login someone else owns, or a seat in a team workspace you don't control. Both break Anthropic's terms. Both mean another person can read your chats, and both tend to stop working the day the owner's card fails or the account gets flagged. A gift puts the plan on your own account, with your own chat history, projects and settings, and nobody else holds the keys.
Paying with something other than Bitcoin
Bitcoin leads here, but the same checkout takes USDT and USDC on several networks, Monero and a dozen other coins. Questions about Claude and Bitcoin
Is this a real Claude subscription?
Yes. It's Anthropic's own gift, redeemed on your own account. Anthropic sees a gift redeemed, not your wallet or our checkout. We're an independent store and not affiliated with Anthropic.
What happens when the gift runs out?
The account falls back to the free tier, unless you were paying for Pro on the web before, in which case Pro resumes on your existing billing. Nothing renews on our side, and we never charge you again.
Can I use Claude Code with a gifted plan?
Yes. Claude Code is part of Pro and both Max plans, and a gift gives you the same plan a card would.
How long until I get the link?
Your payment needs one Bitcoin confirmation, usually 10 to 30 minutes with a normal fee. A person then buys the gift, usually within a few hours. The link appears on your order page, and in your inbox if you left an email.
Can I give the link to someone else?
Yes. Any Claude account can redeem it, whatever email it was bought for. Just keep in mind that whoever opens the link first gets the plan.
