Paying in Bitcoin Cash
Bitcoin Cash (BCH): pay for ChatGPT, Claude and other AI plans

Bitcoin Cash split from Bitcoin in 2017 and is a separate coin, with fees under a cent. Check twice that you are sending BCH, not BTC.

Before you send Bitcoin Cash
- BTC and BCH are different coins. BTC sent to a Bitcoin Cash address doesn’t count as a payment.
- Bitcoin Cash addresses often start with q or bitcoincash:. Each order gets its own address.
- Priced at the market rate when the order is created, then locked for 30 minutes.
Sending BCH on Bitcoin Cash, step by step
Self-custody wallet
- 01Check your balance covers the amount due plus the network fee (under 1 cent per transfer).
- 02Select BCH on Bitcoin Cash on your order page and leave that tab open.
- 03Open Electron Cash, or whichever Bitcoin Cash wallet you use, hit Send and select BCH.
- 04This QR code holds the address only. Scan or paste it, then enter the amount by hand from the order page.
- 05Enter the amount to the final digit. On most coins those trailing digits belong to your order alone, so don’t round.
- 06Before sending, compare the first and last four characters of the address (A BCH address, usually beginning q or bitcoincash:) and the amount, digit for digit.
- 07Approve the transfer.
- 08Leave the order page open. It refreshes itself when your transaction shows up, and marks it paid after about 10 to 20 minutes.
Exchange account
- 01Select BCH on Bitcoin Cash on your order page and use the exchange option there. It switches to a QR code with the address only, plus copy buttons.
- 02In the exchange, go to Withdraw (some call it “Send”) and select BCH.
- 03Set the network to Bitcoin Cash (BCH). Most lost payments start at this step.
- 04Paste the address. If the exchange offers a memo or tag field, leave it blank: this address works without one.
- 05Type the amount due plus the exchange’s withdrawal fee, or the fee comes out of your payment. The adder below does the sum. Where the form shows a “receive” figure, make that one equal the amount due.
- 06Approve it with 2FA or the email link. Exchanges sometimes hold a withdrawal for review, most often the first one to a new address.
Where payments go wrong
- Sending BTC instead of BCH. Despite the name, they are separate coins.
