SuperGrok with Bitcoin: the plans, the X Premium shortcut and what a year costs

Grok is the AI you can reach two ways: through grok.com and the Grok apps, or through X. That gives you two different products to buy, with overlapping benefits and very different prices. Neither xAI nor X takes Bitcoin for them.

This guide sorts out which plan gives you what, which one is the better buy, and how to pay for it in sats.

The Grok plans

SuperGrok gives you much higher Grok limits than free, image and video generation, and longer memory. For most people that's the right plan. Plus and Heavy are for people who use Grok as a work tool for hours a day.

Prices differ by country. In the euro area SuperGrok is €35 a month, in Canada C$40 and in Australia A$50. In the UK it's £30.

What Grok is good at

Grok's strengths are different from ChatGPT's or Claude's. It reads X in real time, so for questions about what people are saying right now, breaking news or a live event, it often has fresher material than the others. Its image and video tools are fast, and SuperGrok raises their limits a long way. It's also more willing than most assistants to answer blunt questions without a lecture, which some people value and others don't.

Where it's weaker: long, careful writing and large coding projects, where many people still prefer Claude or ChatGPT. If your work is mostly documents and code, SuperGrok is better as a second assistant than a first. If you already spend a lot of time on X, it's the most natural one to pay for.

Before you buy a year, use the free tier for a few days on the kind of question you actually ask. That tells you more than any benchmark.

Where X Premium fits

X sells three tiers, and two of them touch Grok:

• X Premium, $8 a month or $84 a year, raises your Grok limits inside X and adds the blue check, longer posts and editing.
• X Premium+, $40 a month or $395 a year, includes SuperGrok along with everything in Premium and an ad-free timeline.

So the question is whether you want X's features too. If you post on X and use Grok, Premium+ covers both. If you only want Grok, SuperGrok on its own costs less. And if you just want a bit more Grok than free, plain Premium is the cheapest option by far.

How delivery works for each

SuperGrok, Plus and Heavy by the month are prepared for the country of your Grok account. Pick the country on the SuperGrok page, pay in Bitcoin, and switch the plan on yourself with the steps on your order page.

X Premium and Premium+ go to your @handle as an official gift. Enter the handle at checkout, pay, and accept the gift notification on X. Your account must not have Premium when we send it. See the X Premium page.

SuperGrok Heavy yearly is sold only on xAI's own website. After you pay us, sign in at grok.com on your own account, choose Heavy yearly, and paste the payment page's address into your order page. Paying in Bitcoin, briefly

1. Choose the plan and term, then go to checkout. No account is needed.
2. Pick Bitcoin. Send the exact amount to the bc1 address within 30 minutes; the last digits identify your order.
3. The order page shows "Payment seen" from the mempool and "Paid" after one confirmation, usually 10 to 30 minutes.
4. A person prepares your plan or sends the gift, usually within a few hours. Anything not delivered within 24 hours is refunded in full, in the coin you used.

Things to check first

• An existing Grok subscription. If you pay xAI already, stop it first, through Apple or Google if you subscribed in the app.
• Premium on your X account. X won't send a gift to an account that already has Premium. Let it lapse first.
• The right country. Plans prepared for one country don't activate on an account set to another.
• One gift per handle. X Premium is limited to one per order, since each handle can only receive one at a time.

Questions about Grok and Bitcoin

Does xAI or X accept Bitcoin?

No. Both bill by card or through Apple and Google. Paying us in bitcoin keeps your card out of it, and the plan still lands on your own account.

Is X Premium+ the same as SuperGrok?

Premium+ includes SuperGrok, so you get the same Grok access, plus X's paid features. If you don't use X, it's the more expensive way to get the same Grok.

Can I upgrade from SuperGrok to Heavy later?

Only through xAI, which bills the upgrade itself, usually by card. If you think you'll need Heavy, decide before you buy.

Do I need to give you my X password?

No. An X gift needs only your public @handle. Grok plans are switched on by you, with our steps. We never sign in as you.
