Google AI Pro and Gemini, paid in Bitcoin on your own Google account

Google bills Gemini through Google One and Google Play, never in bitcoin. How to get Google AI Pro or Ultra on your own account with sats, and what it costs.

An isometric aluminium storage drive with a frosted glass lid, a soft four-pointed light inside, and one orange Bitcoin coin leaning against it

Gemini comes bundled into a Google plan, not sold on its own. When you upgrade, you're buying a Google One subscription that happens to carry Gemini's higher limits along with storage and a handful of extras. Google bills it by card, through Google Play on Android, or through Apple on iPhone. Bitcoin isn't an option.

If you hold sats and want Gemini, the route is the same one we use for ChatGPT: pay us in Bitcoin, and we prepare the plan for the country your Google account is in. You switch it on yourself. We never touch your Google login.

Google's AI plans in October 2026

PlanUS priceStorageWhat it adds
Google AI Plus$7.99 a month400 GBMore Gemini use than free, Gemini in Gmail, family sharing
Google AI Pro$19.99 a month or $199.99 a year5 TBExpanded Gemini 3.1 Pro, Deep Research, Gemini in Docs and Sheets, Google Flow, $10 a month in Google Cloud credits
Google AI UltraFrom $99.99 a month20 TB and upThe highest Gemini limits, Deep Think, Project Genie, $40 a month in Cloud credits, YouTube Premium in many countries

Ultra comes in two sizes. We call them Ultra 5x ($99.99 a month in the US) and Ultra 20x ($199.99), after how much Gemini use each allows compared with Pro.

We sell AI Pro and both Ultra plans. We don't sell AI Plus.

Is AI Pro the right one?

For most people, yes. The 5 TB of storage is the sleeper feature: if you already pay Google for 2 TB of space, moving to AI Pro gives you more room and Gemini's higher limits for little extra. Gemini inside Docs, Sheets and Gmail saves real time if your work already lives there.

Ultra makes sense if you produce video with Google's tools, need Deep Think for hard maths or research, or keep running into AI Pro's daily limits. If none of that sounds like you, it's a lot of money for storage you won't fill.

AI Pro or a $20 chatbot plan?

Google AI Pro sits at the same price as ChatGPT Plus, Claude Pro and Perplexity Pro, so it's worth being clear about where it wins and where it doesn't.

It wins on everything around the model. No other $20 plan comes with 5 TB of storage, Gemini built into the mail and documents you already use, and video tools in the same subscription. If you'd pay Google for storage anyway, the AI part costs you very little.

It's less clear-cut on the assistant itself. Gemini 3.1 Pro is a strong model, and Deep Research is one of the better research agents. But many people who write long documents or code all day still prefer Claude, and people who want one app for everything often stay with ChatGPT. If the assistant matters more to you than the storage, try Gemini's free tier for a week before you commit to a year. We compare all of them in which AI subscriptions are worth your sats.

What it costs in Bitcoin

Google has its own yearly price for AI Pro, and our 12-month price starts from it.

TermGoogle's price (US)You pay herePer month
AI Pro, 3 months$59.97$56.07$18.69
AI Pro, 6 months$119.94$105.55$17.59
AI Pro, 12 months$199.99$152.39$12.70
AI Ultra 5x, 1 month$99.99$109.99$109.99
AI Ultra 20x, 1 month$199.99$215.99$215.99

Other countries pay Google's local price: £18.99 a month for AI Pro in the UK, C$26.99 in Canada, A$32.99 in Australia and €21.99 in the euro countries we serve. The checkout converts it to dollars at the European Central Bank's daily rate, then to BTC when you choose Bitcoin.

Step by step

  1. Open the Google AI Pro page and choose your account's country. We prepare plans for the US, UK, Canada, Australia, Germany, France, Spain, Italy and the Netherlands. It must be the country your Google account is set to, which you can check in Google Play's settings or at payments.google.com.
  2. Choose AI Pro or Ultra, and a term. AI Pro comes in 3, 6 or 12 months; Ultra from one month.
  3. Check out and choose Bitcoin. No account here. An email for your order link and steps is optional.
  4. Send the exact amount to the bc1 address within 30 minutes. The last digits mark the payment as yours. The Bitcoin guide shows each wallet.
  5. Wait for one confirmation. The order page shows "Payment seen" from the mempool and "Paid" once the transaction is in a block.
  6. Switch it on. Someone on our side sets up your plan, usually within a few hours. The step-by-step instructions appear on your order page. They take a few minutes on your own Google account.

Should we miss 24 hours from confirmation, the full amount goes back to you, in bitcoin. How it works has the whole timeline, and how to pay covers USDT, Monero and the other coins we take.

Before you pay

  • Use a personal Google account. Google AI plans are for personal accounts. Work and school accounts managed by an organisation get Gemini through their admin, not through Google One.
  • Check what you already pay Google. If you have a Google One storage plan, the AI plan replaces it rather than adding to it. Cancel any plan billed through Google Play or the App Store first, so you aren't charged twice.
  • Match the country. A plan prepared for one country won't activate on an account set to another.
  • Be 18 or over. Google limits some of these AI features by age and country.

Sharing with family

Google AI Pro can be shared with up to five other people in your Google family group. They get the storage and some AI features on their own accounts. If two or three people in a household would each pay for an AI plan, one shared Google AI Pro can cover them more cheaply. Check Google's current list of what family members get, because it differs from what the plan owner gets.

Questions about Gemini and Bitcoin

Does Google accept Bitcoin for Gemini?

No. Google One and Google Play bill by card, carrier billing in some countries, and Google Play balance. Paying us in bitcoin is a way around that, with the plan still on your own account.

Will Google know I paid with crypto?

No. Google sees the plan activated on your account through its normal channels. It doesn't see your wallet or our checkout. We're independent and not affiliated with Google.

What happens to my files when the plan ends?

You keep them, but if you're over the free 15 GB, you can't add new files to Drive or Photos, and Gmail can stop receiving mail, until you free space or buy storage again. Plan ahead before a 12-month term runs out.

Can I buy Ultra for a year?

Yes. Ultra comes in 1, 3, 6 or 12 months here, with 15%, 20% or 30% off Google's monthly price for the longer terms.
